BA (Hons) Humanistic Counselling MBACP

Counselling

I work within the humanistic model of counselling. The foundations of the humanistic approach provide you with a deeper understanding of who you are, what you think and how you feel; and the opportunity to explore the possibility of creating personal choices. It encourages self-awareness and self-realisation. In humanistic counselling the relationship between the counsellor and the client lies at the heart of its effectiveness

By being open and curious about your life you can learn how to change the way you relate to your situation, thoughts and feelings. With insight and self awareness you can develop new skills so that you can lead a rich and fulfilling life.

I provide a confidential space, free from judgement, allowing you to talk openly about the issues which are causing you difficulty. Many people choose to see me because they want to sort out their distressing issues in an impartial and professional environment, without feeling they are worrying or burdening their family or friends.

Counselling is about change and this can be challenging. However, the rewards of counselling can be really great in terms of understanding yourself and your situation better, and in knowing how to make changes that will help you to make progress with your life.
