Individual Counselling

I see clients for individual counselling in Chichester, Portsmouth and Westbourne. Please see my locations page for more details.

Counselling is a talking therapy that allows you to speak about your problems and feelings in a confidential and supportive environment so that you can move toward living a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

As a Counsellor; and also as someone on my own personal journey I am continually made aware that we all experience challenges and difficulties in our lives, no one is exempt from this. Working through these challenges is how we continue to develop and grow, but it can sometimes feel too hard or we may feel too stuck in old unworkable patterns of behaviour and thinking to make the changes we need, alone.

This is when we may decide to seek out a professional counsellor. It can be a big deal to come to the realization that something in your life is not working and that you are ready to access the support you need in order to move on with your life. It is therefore important that you find the right counsellor for you.

Our therapeutic relationship is central to the effectiveness of your counselling, therefore, if you decide that you would like to undertake some counselling with me we would arrange to meet for an initial session/assessment.

This session is an important part of the counselling process as it will give you the opportunity to tell me more about the issues which are bringing you into counselling and what you hope to gain from the counselling. It would also give you the opportunity to see how we would work together and for you to see if you feel comfortable working with me.

In this initial session we can also discuss how many sessions you would like or whether you would like your counselling to be open ended and for this to be reviewed as our work together progresses.

Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and costs £45.00 per session (This price and duration applies to the initial session/assessment)
