I qualified as a counsellor in 2006 and am a registered member of the BACP. Prior to setting up my private counselling practice in Chichester and Westbourne, West Sussex and in Portsmouth, Hampshire I have worked as a counsellor in general practice, in secondary education, the field of addictions and with carers. I am also co-founder and partner of Portsmouth Therapy Partnership

I have had wide experience as a counsellor for adults within a local Carers Support Service, where I set up and ran an Emotional Support Line. I also facilitated workshops and support groups as well as providing one to one support to carers as part of the Dementia Carer Wellbeing Team.

I have also worked as a telephone helpline counsellor for a major Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider, delivering assessment for clients onward referral into counselling and/or signposting to practical and emotional support.

Alongside my private practice I have co-produced and co-facilitated workshops with my colleague Shirley Baxter. These workshops were provided for Carers or Counsellors and other Health Professionals
